Hank’s Balanced Salt Solution (HBSS) is commonly used for preparing cell culture media or washing cells during cell culture processes. HBSS is one of the most used phosphate buffer solutions, mainly composed of sodium chloride, potassium chloride, phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, and glucose, with a pH typically ranging from 7.2 to 7.4.
1× Hanks (containing calcium and magnesium, without phenol red) Balanced Salt Solution produced by Meilun is a ready-to-use solution that is sterile filtered. It can be directly used for cell washing and other routine purposes in cell culture processes without the need for further dilution or sterilization before use.
