Description
SYBR Green I is a highly sensitive fluorescent dye for DNA, suitable for a range of electrophoresis analyses with a simple procedure: no destaining or rinsing is required. It can detect as little as 20pg of DNA, offering a sensitivity that is 25 to 100 times greater than that of ethidium bromide staining methods. The fluorescence signal of SYBR Green I increases by 800 to 1000 times when it binds to double-stranded DNA (dsDNA), providing strong fluorescent signals for gel samples with a low background. It is applicable to various electrophoresis analyses.
Performance
SYBR Green I high-purity powder was dissolved in DMSO to form a 10,000X solution for qPCR effect testing.
Figure: Comparison of qPCR (SYBR Green I method). The whole RNA of Hela cells was extracted and reverse transcribed into a cDNA library. Then the concentration gradient cDNA was used as a template to amplify the 150bp target gene, comparing the effect of MeilunBio and the competitor SYBR Green I.
As can be seen from the figure, the Ct value of the MeilunBio group and the competitor group is not much different, and the plateau value of the MeilunBio group is higher than that of the competitor group. (Instrument model: Thermo pikoreal 96)
