T-Cell Culture Supplement with ConA (IL-2 Culture Supplement), Rat

Product Description

Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is a lymphokine produced by activated T-cells which induces growth of activated T-cells, lymphokine production by T-cells, and cytotoxic T lymphocyte activity. Rat T-Cell Culture Supplement with ConA is an enriched mixture containing Interleukin-2 and other lymphokines. It includes RPMl 1640 with 10% fetal bovine serum and 10mM HEPES buffer. Concanavalin A content is approximately 10 mg/ml.

When used as a culture supplement it will promote polyclonal activation (due to the presence of Concanavalin A). The lL-2 component will support the proliferation of both antigenically sensitized and non-sensitized rat and mouse lymphoid T-cells in primary culture. Additionally, it supports high-titer HIV production by leukocytes.

Rat T-Cell Culture Supplement with ConA is tested for ability to promote proliferation of an IL-2 dependent mouse cell line (CTLL) in serum-containing medium. Filtered (0.22 µm membrane) and tested and found negative for the presence of bacteria, fungi, and mycoplasma.

Production process: This product is produced from SPF grade SD rats, and the production procedure is strictly in accordance with the GMP management regulations, and is completed in a clean room that meets the requirements.
