Product Description
MeilunBio® Liposomal Gene Transfection Reagent is a new cationic liposome transfection reagent that can replace Lipo2000 and has lower toxicity and higher transfection efficiency than Lipo2000.
It is suitable for transfection of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) into eukaryotic cells with low cytotoxicity; high transfection efficiency for many types of cells and culture plates; the presence of serum during transfection does not affect the transfection efficiency.
Scope of application: transfection of adherent cells and suspension cells (mammalian cell lines).
Product Advantages
- Meilunbio® Liposomal Gene Transfection Reagent has high transfection efficiency, can replace Lipo2000, and has good reproducibility and easy operation.
- No obvious cytotoxicity and antisera interference. After transfecting cells with MeilunBio® Liposomal Gene Transfection Reagent, there is no obvious cytotoxicity for most of the cells within 72 hours without changing the culture medium. The presence of serum does not affect the transfection efficiency with MeilunBio® Liposomal Gene Transfection Reagent, which reduces the damage to the cells caused by the removal of serum.
- MeilunBio® Liposomal Gene Transfection Reagents have a wide range of applications and are suitable for transfection of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) in a wide range of cell types and culture vessels.
Performance
In order to see the difference in transfection efficiency more clearly, a limiting case with a relatively small ratio of DNA to transfection reagent was chosen. The pLJM1-EGFP plasmid was transfected with Meilunbio® Liposomal Gene Transfection Reagent and imported Lipo2000 from international Company on two kinds of cells, 293 (commonly transfected cells) and 786-0 (relatively poor cell status), respectively.
Conclusion:
1.Meilunbio® Liposomal Gene Transfection Reagent has a higher percentage of cells expressing green fluorescent protein on both types of cells than the international Company Lipo2000, indicating that its transfection efficiency is slightly better than that of the international Company Lipo2000.
2.The number of fluorescent protein-expressing cells and the transfection efficiency did not decrease when the liquid was not changed (i.e., the transfection reagent was not removed) compared with that when the liquid was changed (i.e., the transfection reagent was removed) at 6 h after transfection. Moreover, the protein expression of Meilunbio® Liposomal Gene Transfection Reagent was higher when compared with international Company Lipo2000 without changing the liquid, indicating that its cytotoxicity was lower.\
3.Under the limiting condition of poor cell state and low DNA content, Meilunbio® Liposomal Gene Transfection Reagent can still make the cells express a certain amount of fluorescent proteins, which indicates that it has strong anti-interference ability and stability.
