Description
MitoMark Red CMXRos is a red fluorescent mitochondrial stain. Fluorescence intensity is dependent on mitochondrial membrane potential. Excitation/emission maxima 578/599 nm. It is recommended to prepare stock solutions in DMSO.
This product is an oxidized red fluorescent dye that can be passively transported across the cell membrane and directly accumulated on active mitochondria simply by incubating the cells. The accumulation of the dye depends on the membrane potential. Once the mitochondria are stained, they can be fixed according to the needs of subsequent experiments (using aldehyde fixatives such as formaldehyde) and permeabilized (using aldehyde detergents such as Triton X-100), while the probe remains inside the cells. Because the red fluorescence of MitoTracker Red CMXRos has good resolution with other green fluorescent probes, it is suitable for double-labeling experiments.
Performance
Product application standard test: (independently completed by the cell biology project team of MeilunBio)
The product was formulated into 1mM storage solution as purple liquid, the solution was clarified and there was no visible foreign substance in the colour test; then fluorescence staining was carried out: working conditions: fluorescence microscope, C6 cells, 400×, working concentration 500nM, incubation for 45min.
Results: After staining, the intracellular mitochondria were clearly stained with red fluorescence under 40x objective.
