Product Description

L-Alanyl-L-glutamine is an advanced cell culture additive that can be used as a direct replacement for L-Glutamine, an essential nutrient in the liquid environment of cell culture, but it is unstable in aqueous solution and is prone to degradation to produce ammonia, which is harmful to cells. L-Alanyl-L-glutamine, as an alternative to L-glutamine, has the following characteristics:

• Can significantly reduce the accumulation of toxic ammonia: L-Alanyl-L-glutamine is very stable in aqueous solution and will not spontaneously decompose, so it will not form ammonia. The mechanism by which it is utilized by cells is as follows: cells release a peptidase enzyme into the culture medium when culturing, which cleaves the dipeptide bond of L-Alanyl-L-glutamine in order to gradually release L-glutamine. This process of gradually releasing L-glutamine at a low concentration level into the culture medium is similar to the flow-addition culture strategy, which can improve the utilization rate of L-glutamine without generating excess ammonia.
• Improved cell viability and growth: Cultures with lower ammonia levels show higher cell viability. In addition, culture conditions are easier to control because the L-Alanyl-L-glutamine solution has a consistent concentration.
• Stable over a wide temperature range: L-Alanyl-L-glutamine solution is ready-to-use and retains full functionality for up to 24 months at room temperature, 2~8°C or -5~-30°C, allowing for easy storage and handling. L-Alanyl-L-glutamine solution can be stable for one week or more at 37°C.

L-Alanyl-L-glutamine can be used in place of equimolar L-Glutamine for all cells with little or no acclimatization required and allows for longer cell cultures, fewer passages, and a slower decrease in cell activity. L-Alanyl-L-glutaminecan be used in place of equimolar L-Glutamine for all cells with little or no acclimatization required.

This product contains: 200 mM L-Alanyl-L-glutamine, 0.85% NaCl.

Production process: This product is prepared by using Water-For-Injection (WFI), and the production procedure is strictly in accordance with the cGMP management regulations, and is completed in the clean room for the record of in vitro diagnostic reagents.
